DDS premieres Escapology

Dunfermline Dramatic Society is proud to be premiering a new play, ESCAPOLOGY, by Fife playwright (and our very own President) Bruce Adam for our Autumn 2012 production.

This brand new play will also be presented in a brand new venue for us – the Glen Pavilion in Pittencrief Park. We hope that some of you can join us for what is sure to be a fantastic production, further details of which are below:

ESCAPOLOGY

The Glen Pavilion, Pittencrief Park, Dunfermline

Friday November 30th & Saturday December 1st
at 7.30pm

Synopsis:
1946 – A female burns patient lying in a hospital bed in South America is visited by a sinister figure from her past.

In a series of flashbacks to London and Berlin in the 1930s and against the backdrop of the rise of oppression in Nazi Germany, the nature of their relationship is revealed – in particular their association with a well-known illusionist and escapologist, Harry Dunlop.
In a series of increasingly tense scenes and unexpected twists and surprises, the play explores the power of illusion in both generating evil and in resisting it.

Tickets are priced at £9 (£7 concessions), and are available from society members or via our booking agent TicketSource: either online via our website or telephone 0844 8700 887 (booking and/or postage fees apply for TicketSource bookings).
